LANCASTER -- Mr. John Clarence "J.C." Outen, 80, of 587 Bailey Road, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008, at his home. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Sherwood Baptist Church.

Born April 5, 1928, in Kershaw, he was the son of the late Jones Clarence Outen and Gladys Kirkland Outen. He was first married to the late Mary Steele Outen and then to Frances H. Ackerman Outen. He lived in Lancaster most of his life and was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church.
