XiJinping (pronounced , born 15 June 1953) is the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China and the Chairman of the Party Central Military Commission. He is also the Vice President of the People's Republic of China, Vice Chairman of the PRC Central Military Commission, and is the first-ranked member of the Politburo Standing Committee (PSC), China's de facto top power organ. Xi is now the leader of the Communist Party of China's fifth generation of leadership. He is expected to become President, China's head of state, in March 2013, when the National People's Congress convenes.
XiJinping is vice chairman of China’s Central Military Commission and a member of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau Standing Committee, a group of 24-people who oversee China’s 78 million-member Communist Party. XiJinping is expected to be the next president of China when Hu Jintao steps down in 2012.
