[UTA The Shorthorn] - “It looks closer to the red-tail hawk than an eagle.” It wasn't a bald eagle, or eagle. The bird that swooped on campus was a red-tailed hawk. Biology professor Robert McMahon said this is the time of year when the hawks are migrating south through Texas.
