Also, reference to families who came from Sweden seems likely, as other names refer to professions, such as Müller, Schuster, Mayer, etc. The roots of the family can be traced back to the region of Upper Silesia and East Prussia. Due to mixed cultures of Germans, Balts and Poles there, also a closer relationship to Scandinavian nations is possible. For sure it can be stated that the name in today's spelling is a typo mistake of the original, because SZ is spoken in Polish as "SCH". Even variations of the name are possible (like any Schweda has certainly experienced more than once), e.g.: Schweder, Schwede, Schwieda, Sweder etc.
